Originally from the Madison/Milwaukee area, Hayden moved in 2012 to finish his BFA at the University of Wisconsin - Stout. As a visual artist, Hayden’s painting practice invites conversation about transgender issues and topics. He is also a vlogger and makes videos that are primarily trans-related topics to bring awareness to those seeking information.
Aside from Hayden’s creative side, he devotes most of his time to the transgender community. He has spoken at various events for transgender awareness and at schools ranging from middle school to college level. He is also facilitator of a trans support group through Queer Menomonie, an LGBTQIA+ organization he, his partner, and a friend started up in 2016.
Hayden joins Milkweed Connections to provide peer mentoring to LGBTQIA+ identified people. He finds joy in giving resources and support to his peers. From personal experience as well as from passion, Hayden believes when one lives their true authentic self, it paves the way to live a healthy and happy life.
