Mary joins Milkweed Connections offering peer mentoring and independent living skills support. Mary is the very proud mother of two: one being her amazing son and the second being her fur baby, Kitty. If she’s not exploring nature or dabbling in whatever hobby has sparked her interest that day, you can find her perusing arcades or playing video games with her little one at home.
Mary is an advocate for peer and community support, and has made this her vocation for the past several years: “As a survivor of abuse in many forms I have become passionate about using my stories and my truths to help those who are too scared advocate for themselves or that just need someone to say, ‘I’ve been there.’ I have encountered many different obstacles in life that have bumped and blocked me into being the person that I am today. Some of them were more difficult to move past but they have given me strength to use towards helping those that have no one. I’ve been there, and I want people to know they truthfully do not have to go through this alone.”
Mary is a certified WRAP facilitator. She enjoys using art and music for healing, getting involved in the local community, and anything involving the outdoors.
