Daniel joins Milkweed Connections to provide Peer Support, mentoring, and skill development. He is from the Chippewa Valley and went to college in Eau Claire. Daniel has a broad background of professional experience and has worked in the mental health field for the last few years.
Daniel has lived experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD, mania, feelings of hopelessness, existential dread, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, incarceration, homelessness, trauma, and family separation. The one constant thing has been Daniel’s perseverance and willingness to learn and grow from experiences that have kept him going. He believes that a balance between physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional health are key to a meaningful life.
Daniel loves using activities such as music, art, games, and meditation as platforms to help others practice mindfulness, learn new coping skills, and ways to calm their minds and stay in the present. He also enjoys helping others pursue their passions and find new positive connections in life.
In his spare time Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, longboarding, fishing, photography, disc golf, reading, going to concerts, traveling, and cooking. “I love spending time outside and getting in touch with nature.”
