Mental Health and Substance Use Challenges
Marie has lived experience with severe anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, suicidal ideation, and feelings of hopelessness. Marie has worked hard through therapy and community supports to help teach her the appropriate coping skills to help to manage her mental health. In doing so Marie has been able to gain her Master’s Degree, develop healthy long lasting relationships, and live her best life.
Marie is passionate about helping others to gain the ability to live their best life through healthy coping skills, exercise, exploring new things, and finding a healthy balance in their own life. Marie has a strong background in working with teens and adults who struggle with mental illness and crisis. Marie also has training in working with parents on connecting with their children through activities and communication, as well as parents who are currently connected with CPS and the court system.
In her spare time Marie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, traveling, trying and cooking new recipes, exploring new areas, crafting, antiquing, doing paint by numbers, and so much more.
