Mental Health and Substance Use Challenges

Hope is honored and excited to be a part of the Milkweed team providing peer support. She is a CCS graduate herself and knows what it feels like on the other side of the coin. Through her own years of hardship and struggles with mental health as well as substance abuse, she is blessed to be in recovery for several years now. Hope had legal consequences due to her choices and is familiar with lived
experience of being separated from family including her two sons, reacclimating to society and the complications associated with finding work, housing, and rebuilding relationships. She has found many new coping skills along the way, yoga and mediation being a couple of them. Hope is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) and finds a lot of healing on her mat. She finds so much joy in helping others and watching the growth over time.

You can find Hope teaching yoga at a local studio in her spare time or spending time with her boys.
Hope and her boyfriend enjoy attending concerts and cooking together, this winter they are taking on the skill of making homemade soy candles!
